Your Wellness Center

The Wellness Center was Established  on April 30, 2016.

Our Partners in Wellness promote leaders who are well trained and professionally recognized in the community we serve. Our instructors come from the business community, care facilities, and diverse organizations to help them achieve wellness in Mind, body and Spirit.

Your Instructors


Janice Pask  first received formal training  in mindfulness meditation  over 30 years ago. In addition to instructional retreats she has also completed  Mindfullness Stress Reduction training classes. Janice is a Certfied Qi Gong instructor. She also teaches Meditation classes in the High Desert for the last 8 years.  Classes are on  Wed at 11 am  And Mindfull Meditation on Tuesday and Saturday at 2PM


Ray Jayne is passionate about yoga.  She has been an instructor in the High Desert for many years.  It is a connection between  mind, body and spirit.   She believes it is never too late to start yoga and make the connection for yourself.  She also teaches at Instant Karma in the Morongo Basin. Classes are Mondays at 1 PM.


Bruce has been  a lay leader of restorative yoga that strengthens and maintains  mobility. Bruce is a counselor and has been involved in yoga for  the past 10 years.    This class is good for beginners and easy to follow. 

Class sessions are Monday and Thursday at 10 am


Alisabeth is a Certified Fitness Instructor who specializes in Strength Training,.  In this class you will strengthen your core, increase mobility and assist in weight loss. Alizabeth also teaches private session and classes in Coachella Valley. 


   Classes are Monday and Thursday at 4:30 PM


Dion has  been a member of Morongo Basin drumming  groups for the past 15 years and is of Native American Heritage.  She plays the conga drum, mini harp, and flute. as well as several other percussion instruments.   The group is open to novice and skilled alike and easy to follow.  Bring your own instrument. There are also community instruments to play.  The Drum Gathering  is the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM.  It is co-chaired with Dr Chuck Greenwald.   Dr Chuck has played locally and abroad . Dion also teaches  beginning photography  classes.  Bring your own camera or cell phone and learn how to  take professional photos, crop and edit and download to a computer or print for display.   Dion is an award winning photographer in the Morongo Basin and a Member of the Chaparral  Artists for the past 10 years.   Classes will include guest photographers and special visitors. Classes are the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM.


Rev. Lakey started practicing Zen in the UK in 2005.  He moved to California and trained under Ten /shin Fletcher in 2008. In 2010 Jim received his Tokudo(priest ordination)  He later completed his Shuso training to become a senior student.

His Koan study (question and answer) was completed later in 2010  Zen Meditation is on Tuesday  at 7 -8:45 PM 


Vickie  has been a nutritionist for the past 9 years  and a firm believer  that everyone deserves to feel great about their bodies and themselves.  Super foods and nutritional cleansing are key to optimum health. Vickie 's purpose is to educate, discuss, support and celebrate the progress in your making healthier choices  in your life. Classes are on the Third Wednesday of the month for Nutrition and the 4th  Wednesday of the month for an Introduction to cleansing  and super Foods.


Teri is an experienced Massage Therapist Licensed by the State of California a Graduate of Kaplan College with Honors. She is insured with ABMP.  Teri's  Excellence  Mobile Massage  is committed to the well being and utmost care of each patron.  She is trained in different types of massage , such as for pregnancy, and in reflexology, and deep tissue.  Teri is also a REIKI practitioner. Teri is available at the center for Chair Massage  on Wednesdays 12:30-2 PM starting 9/6/17.


Maria has been teaching Zumba for the past 5 years  to all age groups and on Base to the military families.  Zumba is exercise to a music Latino Beat.  It is practiced on  land and in the water.  It is fun for the entire family.  Classes are on an Introductory level and held on Tuesdays at 10:30  AM.
