Worship With Us

I have been in pastoral ministry for 30 years. I’m more excited than ever about trends in Christian faith and what’s going on right here at Desert Hills.  True the Christian church in American is declining in numbers and possibly influence on people in power.  But we’re finding our way back to Jesus. Through “Partners” Desert Hills is serving and healing our neighbors regardless of their religious beliefs or political position.  Look at our Partner activities and see if you might like to partner with us in Wellness, Caring or Creativity.  If you join in you’ll likely catch me in an “eagle pose” or taking a lap with relay for life.  I’ve spent too much of my life trying to meet other people’s expectation of a “Christian Pastor”. Now I’m listening to Jesus, the Spirit and our Creator and following with all my might.  I’m grateful for a church that says… “go for it”. 
My wife Janice works at Black Rock campground as a ranger.  We enjoy taking our dog Harley for walks in the desert near our house.  We are brand new grandparents of “Bebe Jack” and are over the moon.  Thanks to our church I’m a Single Pitch Rock Climbing Instructor.  I work part time with Uprising Adventure Guides in JT.  Instructing opens doors to love the climbing community. I’m trying to do what the Apostle Paul did, minister without being a financial burden to the church. 
At the heart of Desert Hills is a worshipping community.  At the center of our worship we gather to praise God on the First day of every new week at 10 a.m.  Here you’ll find people weaving their talents and viewpoints into a tapestry that glorifies God.  Please join in.
