We gather for worship on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. to worship the living God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
After worship, we have a fellowship time with light refreshments and an opportunity for getting to know one another.
Children are welcome in worship! They are invited to come up and participate during the Children’s Message, when they’ll receive coloring pages and other small items. After the Children’s Message, we provide Sunday School and Nursery–although children are always welcome to stay and worship with their parents in the sanctuary during the service. More information about our ministries to children and families can be found here.
Participation. At different points in the service, the congregation sits or stands together, and some of our prayers are responsive, where the congregation prays aloud parts marked in the bulletin. When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, our practice is to say “debts” and “debtors,” rather than “sins” or “trespasses.”
Offering. Jesus taught that part of how we worship God is by giving our lives away–our time, our talent, and our treasure. Every week, we receive an offering. We who think of Desert Hills as our church home give with joyful and generous hearts as we join in the work God is doing in the world.
